Quebec Students

Admission – Required Documents

The following documents are required at time of application and must be attached to the application (one item):

– The application form for admission, duly completed

– An extract from the birth certificate – birth certificate – issued new model since 1 January 1994 by the Directorate of Civil Status (large format) or old model if issued before 1994. (With the name and surname of the parents);

– The high school diploma (DES) or equivalent as well as the most recent transcript of high school;

– The transcript recent college and secondary, if applicable, a copy of diplomas or other documents required to demonstrate the level of education; copies must be clear and consistent with the stamp of the institution of which they originate;

– A money order or certified check in Canadian funds in the amount of $ 50.00 (fifty dollars) (non-refundable) made payable to the Montreal Technical College to cover admission fees and $ 200.00 registration fees. No application will be accepted without fees mentioned. Do not send cash by mail;

– Evidence that establishes the status of resident of Québec within the meaning of the “Regulation on the definition of resident in Québec”

– Proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency (citizenship card, immigration form IMM 1000 proof of obtaining political refugee status, etc.).

Quebec resident status

To qualify as a resident of Quebec, the student must provide one or more of the following evidence (in some cases more than one document is required):

1. Proof that he holds a selection certificate Quebec;

2. Proof that he is currently receiving financial assistance (loans and grants);

3. Proof that he has already received financial assistance (loans and grants) for less than one year;

4. Evidence that one of his parents or his sponsor currently resides in Quebec;

5. Proof that he resided in Québec over the past 12 months;

Note – The card insurance valid parent (father or mother) is sufficient to demonstrate the Quebec residency of the student.
